About Us
SCAAEP is the regional Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. We are a group of students interested in pursuing and/or learning more about equine medicine and the role of an equine practitioner. The SCAAEP Mission is to educate students, play a role in the community, promote equine health and welfare, and gain hands on experience. SCAAEP events include wet labs, lunch and learns, resident and hospital rounds, and social events. SCAAEP members also have the chance to attend events through an AAEP membership such as the National Convention and Essential Skills Workshop. All of SCAAEP's events are centered around educating members on different topics in equine medicine and opportunities for continuing education such as externships/internships and career avenues.
