Mission
The purpose of the Minnesota Sailing Team is:
1. to provide University students with instructional and competitive sailing opportunities.
2. to promote the sport of sailing in surrounding communities.
3. to provide student development through officer positions.
4. to provide social activities and events for members.

Our group's activities include sailing practice three times a week at the Minneapolis Sailing Center, social activities, recruitment activities, and more.
We partake in weekend travel to compete with other Midwest sailing teams. Our group supports the leadership development of its members
by allowing every member the opportunity to run for a position on the board. Board members learn many leadership skills as they
coordinate all aspects of the team from planning practice to making travel arrangements and building a budget. Our team creates a
fun and positive environment for all members by ensuring that everyone gets a chance to learn how to sail and by providing a way
to get outside and enjoy Minnesota's lakes.

Membership Benefits
Membership provides the opportunity to both learn how to sail and learn how to race C420s. A great way to learn basic skills or continue to perfect your racing abilities.
