About Us
Psychology Club and Psi Chi's mission is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology. Psychology Club also provides a place for people with similar interests to connect and learn more about the field of psychology. Psychology Club holds numerous events including special faculty presentations, professor coffee hours, graduate student panels, a graduate school admission presentation, and a gap year panel. Additional activities are focused on cultivating students' awareness of their own goals and academic path, as well as what they can do for their community. All undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to join Psychology Club. There is no application to become a member. You do not need to be pursuing a psychology degree to get involved in the club. Psychology Club manages the University of Minnesota's Psi Chi chapter, a national honors organization for psychology students. Please note that a membership application is required for those pursuing affiliation with the national Psi Chi Honors organization. Applications for Psi Chi are accepted once a semester. Psychology Club strives to offer enriching opportunities for its members during their time at the University of Minnesota. Each event is created with the intention of allowing club members to find their special niche within psychology.
