Mission
As the Turkish American Student Association, our main goal is to spread knowledge about the beautiful country of Turkey; our interesting customs and traditions, our broad history, the breathtaking natural and historical locations, and our delicious cuisine; through the best way we know, with hospitality. We host a variety of events for members of the university community to socialize, network, and celebrate Turkish culture.
Our group's central value is encouraging cultural diversity on campus by providing a space to celebrate Turkish culture. We are a place for anyone who has grown up with Turkish culture, or would like to experience it, to feel a piece of home away from their home, and to easily make long-lasting friends because of that shared experience. We are an especially important resource for helping first-year students get acclimated to the University, and most of our board members found their best friends through TASA.
