About Us
Alpha Phi Omega is a national gender-inclusive community service fraternity founded on the principles of leadership, friendship, and service. With more than 500,000 members on over 375 college campuses across the country, Alpha Phi Omega continues to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization. Leadership: To be a leader is to be of service to your community. Members of Alpha Phi Omega are invited to develop their leadership skills and critically analyze what a leader looks like to them through special events and taking advantage of the opportunity to serve on the executive board or on one of our various committees. Friendship: In addition, we know that the best way to build a strong community is through being a friend. We aim to foster friendships between students from across the University through hosting a wide variety of social events, “fellowship” as we call it, throughout the semester. Service: Here at the Gamma Psi chapter, we are committed to providing meaningful group service opportunities in order to establish a space for our members to build a community on campus and in the greater Twin Cities area. We are dedicated to promoting active citizenship, community engagement, and ethical volunteerism through both our service events and group reflections on why we serve. No matter your passions or interests, if you believe in the importance of service, you will find a community in Alpha Phi Omega. Email apo@umn.edu to learn more about how to join us!
