About Us
The Plastic Surgery Interest Group strives to provide exposure for students early in their medical education to plastic and reconstructive surgery. We aim to impart fundamental knowledge about all areas of plastic surgery, including craniofacial, hand, gender affirmation, microsurgery and aesthetics. We partner with the University of Minnesota Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to facilitate interactions between students, residents and faculty in order to create opportunities for research as well as provide information and guidance on how to obtain a residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
