About Us
We want to be that outlet for those who want and or are interested in creating films. From capturing footage for a short film, to acting in a horror video, to editing a comedy; The Filmmakers Guild wants to provide a space for you. Those that want to make films or be apart of the filmmaking experience, come explore, get help, connect, and gain feedback for any of your projects. At the U, the filmmaking community are disconnected and hard to gather, so we want to be that bridge that connects everyone. You don't want to film but you want to edit films, we got you. If you love to make art and just want to gain experience with set design or film posters, we got you. You just saw a movie and want to re-create a scene, WE GOT YOU. We also want to be an outlet for aspiring actors at the U to participate in student led film projects. This not only helps you gain experience but also connects you with filmmakers and other actors. We understand that not everyone will know everything or anything about filmmaking (we don't either), but being able to help and grow from each other is our main goal. So please, if you like filming, edit videos, create graphic designs, build rocket ships, fight for justice, save lives, or do anything and have that passion for the art of film; join us.
