The SciComm mission as an interdisciplinary group
Our mission is to improve science communication at the University of Minnesota so we are able to more effectively share our science with the community and make understanding science related topics more approachable. We recognize that people have many learning styles so in order to best communicate science for understanding, we need to focus on written communication, presenting research to audiences, and developing ways to visually represent our work. In focusing on all formats of communication we expect to create a community of science communicators who collaborate with writers, journalists, and artists in order to accomplish our mission.
