Humanity First Student Division is a subsidiary of Humanity First USA, a global nonprofit dedicated to disaster relief and capacity-building. Each local student organization is housed in universities, high schools, and professional schools around the US, working diligently to promote and fundraise for Humanity First’s local & global initiatives.
Humanity First at U of M prides itself on a balance between local and global outreach. Locally, we engage in community service through several pathways in Minneapolis, relying on fundraising and individual donations to fund club meetings, student events, and to help students pay for the mission trips.
Humanity First and the U of M also engages globally where members have the opportunity to travel to places like Mexico and Guatemala to assist in the establishment and operation of local health clinics.
Humanity First at U of M provides service opportunities of all majors and interests. We provide leadership opportunities for students and broaden your scope of the health care industry beyond the U.S. borders. We also help build important connections with fellow students and health care professionals.
To beat hunger, Humanity First USA runs food pantries and soup kitchens, organizes food drives, and partners with local community and city partners
Humanity First USA advances surgical missions and ophthalmology clinics to restore and maintain peoples eyesight
Humanity First USA's Global Health Program organizes 4 Gift of Health medical missions each year to provide free healthcare services and medications to underserved communities globally
