Space Housekeeping Reminder
Let’s work together to keep the QSCC clean, comfortable, and welcoming for everyone!
- Please avoid wearing perfumes, colognes, or other scented products in the space.
- Tidy up after yourself, return dishes, supplies, and furniture to where you found them.
- Keep noise at a considerate level so everyone can study, relax, or hang out peacefully.
- If something needs attention or feels off, let a board member know or submit a space safety concern form.
A little care from each of us helps make the QSCC a safe and inclusive home for all.

Our Mission Statement: To celebrate the diversity and culture of the queer community; educate the University of Minnesota community on issues pertinent to the lives of queer students; advocate for inclusion and equality of all individuals regardless of gender identity and sexual/romantic orientation; a safe space for queer students to meet and form a sense of community; and empower queer individuals, groups, and organizations.
During a typical semester, the amenities we offer students include:
- A physical safe space that gives everyone the opportunity to be open about their sexuality and/or gender identity without fear of judgment or being outed (CMU 217).
- Information about community events and opportunities, safer-sex (including supplies), and mental health resources.
- Free internet and printing, as well as an expansive library of books, magazines, and movies. Students can read in the space or rent out items!
- A collection of board games, video games, art supplies, and more that are free for community use!
- Weekly LGBTQIA+ identity groups. To see a full list of groups as well as the current semester schedule, visit our Groups page!
