About Us

The UMN Philosophy Club is an academic and social organization for undergraduates interested in learning about and discussing philosophical topics with other UMN students. We meet weekly to discuss a pre-determined topic, with opportunities to join additional, optional reading groups. Meetings start with a short presentation from either a member of the club or a professor. After their presentation on the topic we move into discussion between the club members. Finally, we conclude by discussing and voting on important matters for the club. Each meeting is usually around 45 minutes. Anyone with an interest in philosophy is encouraged to join, regardless of year, major, or past experience!
