Who We Are

Product Design Minnesota (PDMN) is a student-run campus life program at the University of Minnesota. Our primary function is to support product design students and students from other majors that are interested in product design. We do this by providing resources that help with coursework, creating networking opportunities, and by growing our strong community that supports its members throughout this program and after. This year our focus is providing PDMN members with the materials they will need to bring their work to the next level as well as to educate students on new technologies and innovations in materials that are used in industry today!

US Bank Summer 2025 Internship Info Session

Creative Design Methods Bake Sale

Rapson Courtyard, 9:00-12:00 pm


The DES 2701 students are doing their annual Creative Cookie design sprint where they learn about the design process! This involves them creating a unique batch of cookies (for example, last year I bought the Dorito Mountain Dew cookies, yummy!). These cookies are then sold to raise money for the different student groups in the College of Design. Stop by and buy some yummy cookies!
 

Sept. 17th
PDMN Kick-Off Event

Rapson Courtyard, 2-4 pm

At this event we will introduce this year's new club officers, tell you more about what PDMN is, what it does for its members, and what we have planned for this year! When you attend this event you will get a chance to meet with other existing club members, new members, other PDes and CDes students, and people with a passion for Product Design! This is a chance to learn more about what Product Design is and what the PDes program at the University is like. We will also have several fun activities planned, snacks provided, and some sweet PDMN Swag! So come on out and check us out! 


This event is open to everyone, the more the merrier! By RSVP’ing you help us make sure we have enough snacks and materials to go around, but you can still come if you forget to RSVP or if you want to bring a friend!
