Mission
Health Students for a Healthy Climate is a coalition of health professional students who understand the connection between health and a changing climate. There is also an understanding that Anthropogenic planetary degradation is the cause of the rapid environmental changes presently and predicted. We seek to provide an interdisciplinary lens to the education of adaptative and mitigative strategies for communities statewide.

Our goal at Integrated Metabolism (IM) is to connect students who have interests in subjects such as physiology, nutrition, biochemistry, biology, and more. We aim to inform ourselves about important lifestyle health topics such as diet, sleep, and exercise, and expand our knowledge on these topics through reading and discussing primary research.

The mission of the University of Minnesota Medical School Student Council is to provide a voice to the student body and to foster the highest quality educational experience for students on both the Twin Cities, Duluth, and St. Cloud campuses. The Student Council will:
a. Facilitate communication and cooperation among the students, faculty, staff, and administration of the medical school and of the greater University of Minnesota.
b. Improve our academic environment so that students can successfully integrate basic, clinical, social, and behavioral sciences with the art of medicine.
c. Serve our local and global communities with a commitment to humanistic care of individuals and populations.
d. Promote appreciation of diversity and exchange of ideas across the Academic Health Center

Peers Supporting Peers (PSP) is a student-run organization that aims to provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment to fellow medical students who want assistance coping with stressors and/or are looking to build community. About:
We teach Traditional Japanese Karate as refined by Sensei Nishiyama, along with Shotoryu Goshinjutsu, the Self Defense system based on the Kata of Shotokan developed by our instructor, David Gimberline. Training in the Shotokan Karate Club allows students to receive the benefits of physical fitness, mental discipline, self-defense, and the challenge of collegiate competition.

How to Get Involved:
Join us in our class every Monday and Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. at Recreation and Wellness Center MP2 of University of Minnesota Twin Cities. All levels are welcome to attend.
