Mission
The mission of the Baha'í Club is to create an atmosphere in which all students can gather to have meaningful discussions about themes of spirituality, service to our communities, and the oneness of mankind. Materials inspired by the Baha'i Faith, a universal religion centered around the virtue of unity and oneness, will guide many of our discussions, but all faiths, backgrounds, and ideologies will be more than welcomed and encouraged to participate. Cultivating a space of purposeful conversation, friendship, and inclusion to inspire collective growth, shared understanding, and learning is a central goal of the BC.

The Bengali Student Society of Minnesota (BSSM) is a registered student organization of the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis that strives to promote inter-cultural exchange on campus by showcasing the different aspects of Indian, and particularly Bengali, culture. By organizing several events on campus throughout the year, BSSM tries to bring a flavor of East-Indian socio-cultural activities to the heart of Twin Cities.

BSSM was formed in 2005 by a small group of graduate students with the aim of bringing together Bengali students all over the campus. Over the years, BSSM has metamorphosed into a diverse student body representing the culture and traditions of West Bengal, Bangladesh and surrounding areas and currently has about 100 members. It has among our members, not only expatriates from these regions but also other people who have an interest in the Bengali culture and way of life.
As an association, we host various events throughout the year such as Durga Puja, known as one of the biggest festivals in India, Bengali new year celebrations, freshers' welcome parties and get-togethers. We celebrate Indian festivals intertwined with the essence of Bengali culture through food, music, dance, skit, etc. As we treat humanity as our religion, we welcome everybody, irrespective of their ethnic background, religion, and social status to join our activities and events to make our lives a little better and happier.

CHAARG stands for changing health attitudes + actions to recreate girls [+ others]. We are focused on liberating students from the elliptical while working on improving their mental + physical health. We are a community on campus that empower + lifts each other up.

We have weekly workouts every Monday around 6PM, where we work with different studios to try different workouts so members can find their fit. We also have socials once to twice a month where our members have the opportunity to connect with each other outside from working out. This can be watching a movie, craft night, studying, cooking/baking together, tie dying, + more!

Members also have the opportunity to be in a small group which meets weekly + they choose based off their schedule ++ availability. This is a group of 4-9 members that has a small group coordinator to lead each session! This allows for a more intimate sense of community where you workout, go get coffee, or have a movie night together!

Chi Alpha is a community for Christian students on campus. We discuss our faith, engage in personal growth and spiritual development, participate in service opportunities, and experience deeper friendships. We come together every Thursday night of the semester for community, worship, games, and teaching, and we host small group bible studies across campus on many different nights of the week.

The CVM Student Council is a group of elected students who help facilitate and promote the learning, success, and general wellbeing of students enrolled in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. We provide representation for all veterinary students and veterinary student interests, especially in communications with College and University administration and at the level of the Professional Student Government. Lastly, we actively advocate for equitable treatment and opportunity for all students, regardless of any differentiating characteristics including, but not limited to, race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, national origin, disability, age, veteran status, creed, marital status, or public assistance status.

ABOUT US:
Founded in 1986, the Hmong Minnesota Student Association (HMSA) is a student organization here at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. The Hmong Minnesota Student Association is established for the following purposes:

1.) To promote, preserve, and advance the Hmong culture and heritage;
2.) To help its members develop cultural, social, leadership, and communication skills;
3.) To provide and/or direct academic assistance;
4.) To provide awareness of post-secondary education to all students of any social identities;
5.) To develop good relationships with and to educate the University community as well as outside communities about the Hmong culture;
6.) To be a support group.

Membership is open to all students and alumni members at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and non-students without regard to race, gender, marital status, public assistance status, religion, sex, national origin, creed, disability, age or sexual orientation.


EVENTS:
Each year, HMSA hosts various events such as workshops, de-stressors, and social events. In addition to this, HMSA also hosts Heritage Day, the Hmong Minnesota Leadership Conference (HMLC), and the Spring Retreat! Through these events and opportunities, we hope that everyone will be able to learn more about the Hmong culture and form connections with each other!

The Irish Society is a community for Irish, Irish-Americans, people of Irish heritage, or those interested in Irish culture and history. Everyone is welcome! Together we will explore our heritage, learn about Irish history from pre-Christian Celtic religions to the Troubles and modern Irish politics, listen to Irish music, learn about the colonization of Ireland and its ties to oppressed nations and peoples from Palestine to Turtle Island, and much more.

The Muslim Students Association is an organization committed to making Muslim students on the University campus feel comfortable by providing prayer locations and organizing events and religious celebrations, such as Ramadan Iftars, Eidrageous, Islam Awareness Week, and Halaqas (religious/educational discussions) among others. The MSA is also committed to bringing Muslims and people of other faiths on campus together to foster dialogue and promote a better understanding of Islam and of other religions and cultures by Muslims and others alike. This organization serves the campus community with the hopes that it will help Muslims and non-Muslims better understand each other as well as make easily accessible to Muslim students the resources necessary to grow and succeed in this university.

The MSA benefits the whole community, both Muslim and non-Muslim, by hosting and co-sponsoring several interfaith and intercultural events, many of which have been co-hosted with other student groups and departments on campus. Our goal is to build community on and off campus by creating and maintaining healthy dialogue. We make a full effort to enrich the community and we hope to deepen people's understanding of the Islamic faith and fight misconceptions.

We are the Alpha Beta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.

Sigma Lambda Beta is a historically Latino-based fraternity which supports a multicultural brotherhood through the principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, Cultural Awareness, & Community Service. Our mission is to nurture and further a dynamic, values-based environment which utilizes our historically Latino-based fraternity as a catalyst to better serve the needs and wants of all people.

The Alpha Beta chapter at UMN was founded in 1999 and has supported a network of 129 brothers and counting. We pride ourselves on the diversity of our brotherhood through nationality/ethnicity, religion, orientation, and academic & career focus. Our alumni network consists of brothers in all types of career fields from data & technology to entertainment & film. We are the longest-standing fraternity of the Multicultural Greek Council and the only Latino-based fraternity on campus.

We as a chapter work to develop and support our undergraduate brothers personally and academically by hosting study nights, brother check-ins, and alumni development sessions focused on specific topics (personal finance, resume/interviews, etc.). We also encourage playing an active role in the community through community service and fundraising events and initiatives (Adopt-a-Highway, Halloween food drive, etc.) and supporting and representing marginalized and underrepresented communities on campus.

Since 2002, Theatre of the Relatively Talentless has entertained the Minnesota legal community. We stage musicals that are student-written, student-produced, student-directed and student-performed. We are a registered, non-profit, campus life student organization through the University of Minnesota. Our goal is to provide law students (and sometimes faculty) with a desperately-needed creative outlet.

TORT is open to all law students without regard to race, religion, creed, color, sex, national origin, disability, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, political preference, bluebooking skill level, journal or moot court membership, current job offer, propensity to chase ambulances, originalist views, or ability to use the term “a fortiori” in a sentence.
