ASL Club provide an opportunity for students to practice their American Sign Language (ASL) skills with individuals of all levels in a casual setting through social activities and club events. We also aim to create opportunities for individuals to learn more about Deaf Culture and to get involved with the local Deaf Community.
No ASL experience required!

The student group "Crazy Friday" is a social club formed by multicultural students to promote fun and relaxation after a busy week of academic work.
They organize various activities and events every Friday, aimed at providing students with a break from their studies and a chance to unwind. These activities can include themed parties, movie nights, game tournaments, outdoor adventures, or any other engaging and enjoyable events that cater to the interests of the student body. Our mission at the Disabled Student Cultural Center (DiSCC) is to provide a community for disabled students and advocate for their interests on campus. We host events centered on discussion, education, and advocacy on various topics impacting the disabled community. The DiSCC is a space that welcomes people of all backgrounds. We exist to establish and advance witnessing communities of students growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world.

We are a Christian community on campus with weekly gatherings for worship, Bible study, prayer, and community. We also participate in local and national conferences, retreats, and excellent leadership trainings. Our top values are Bible study, discipleship, justice, and mission.

Jazba Entertainment spreads South Asian cultural awareness through dance and the arts.

Dance: A style of art that allows for much creativity and expression, Jazba Entertainment seeks to provide an enormous stage for dancers to share their art with the world. Jazba Entertainment offers a chance for the surrounding community to engage in an integral part of South Asian culture.

Passion: We always put our best foot forward and are fully dedicated to our work. By adopting such an ideology, Jazba Entertainment boasts a unique blend of tenacity and love for every endeavor we encounter.

Change: Inspired by the Delhi Gang Rape Case of 2012, Jazba Entertainment supports the cause of South Asian women empowerment by spreading awareness and raising significant funds for the non profit organization Women In Need.

Though it says “Lutheran” in our name, you don’t have to be Lutheran (or even know anything about church) to get involved.

Students For A Democratic Society (SDS) is a non-tendency, multi issue, grassroots student and youth led activist organization fighting for progressive change and building struggle on campus and in the surrounding community.

Currently, SDS is fighting to defend gender and ethnic studies. All over the country ethnic studies programs are being defunded or completely banned, even in so called progressive states such as Minnesota. Our demands include fully funding the College of Liberal Arts and the gender and ethnic studies is houses; meeting and acknowledging the demands of the American Indian Studies department and TRUTH project, chopping from the top and cutting administration inflated salaries before anything else; no cuts to jobs in the ethnic and gender studies departments, and transparency around budgeting and accounting to the university community.

Dancing is a fun, healthy way to meet new people, learn something new, relieve stress, and build confidence! At U-Swing, our mission is to introduce you to the vibrant swing dance community in the Twin Cities and teach basic swing moves so you feel comfortable dancing socially. We provide a safe space to practice and have fun!

At U-Swing, we have a strong sense of community. The club is open to all University of Minnesota students and no prior dance experience is needed. We welcome any new members at any time of the year!

Our meetings are from 7:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday every week. The first hour is devoted to learning skills, moves, and concepts in dance. During the second hour, we invite you to stick around for a DJ’d social dance and practice what you learned as well as chat with members, officers, and fellow swingers!
