Dhoom Dance Crew is a multicultural dance group with an aim to combine different dance styles from all over the world while maintaining the technique and cultural integrity of the dance forms. Dhoom is a co-ed, multicultural, performance-based dance group on campus. Some styles include Bollywood, Bhangra, hip-hop, Indian classical, and etc. In the past, we have performed at major events like Jazba, Campus Charity events, Indian Student Association events as well as major off-campus events. To join this group, auditions a required. Follow the Instagram page @dhoomumn to obtain information about auditions. This group creates a fun and positive environment by performing, bonding, and practicing. This is a University South Asian team so diversity, equity, and inclusion play a big role. We believe that embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion as organizational values is a way to intentionally make space for positive outcomes to flourish.

We are DISHA.

DISHA aims to create a community for South Asian women to advocate and support women people on their journey of learning their intersectional identities. We strive to empower each other and raise awareness of social issues in our community.

DISHA holds community building and discussion style events so that we can create a safe space for Desi women to be their authentic selves and discuss important topics openly.

The Indian Student Association, formed in 1986 by Sandeep Hirekerur, initially went by the name Indo-Am but later changed to the Indian Student Association. It was formed to provide professional/social support for international students from India and South Asia, local students of Indian and South Asian descent, and anyone else who is interested in our bold and colorful Indian culture.

Jazba Entertainment spreads South Asian cultural awareness through dance and the arts.

Dance: A style of art that allows for much creativity and expression, Jazba Entertainment seeks to provide an enormous stage for dancers to share their art with the world. Jazba Entertainment offers a chance for the surrounding community to engage in an integral part of South Asian culture.

Passion: We always put our best foot forward and are fully dedicated to our work. By adopting such an ideology, Jazba Entertainment boasts a unique blend of tenacity and love for every endeavor we encounter.

Change: Inspired by the Delhi Gang Rape Case of 2012, Jazba Entertainment supports the cause of South Asian women empowerment by spreading awareness and raising significant funds for the non profit organization Women In Need.

We are the Associate Chapter of the Kappa Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. located at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Kappa Phi Lambda is a Pan-Asian interest sorority upholding the pillars of sisterhood, service, and cultural diversity. We are represented at over 30 different university campuses with over 4000+ sisters nationwide. We believe in uplifting women while working towards making a more inclusive community for all.

The Korean Student Association (KSA) is an organization of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for students who are interested in Korean heritage and culture. Our mission is to advocate for and spread Korean culture throughout the Twin Cities campus and surrounding areas and build a community for students of the University of Minnesota. We are also devoted to supporting the Asian and Korean communities through volunteer work and by hosting social and educational events. The University of Minnesota has a large number of Korean students and students interested in Korea, and as a group of dedicated leaders, we strive to connect everyone together to celebrate Korean heritage.

In the Multiracial Student Union, we are dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive community for multiracial and multiethnic students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Through various events and initiatives, we celebrate the diversity of our members and aim to foster unity among all students.
MRSU seeks to bring awareness to not only the issues multiracial/multiethnic people face yet to the issues the numerous groups we represent face as well. We aim to be the bridge that connects other student groups such as the Black Student Union, Asian-American Student Union, Arab Student Association, Indian Student Association, Mi Gente, UMN Women's Center, MCAE, MSCE, COIN, AISCC, and more.

The Philippine Student Association (PSA) is the oldest Asian-American student group that was established at the University of Minnesota. It traces its roots from the 1920s when the first Filipino students came to the U. The group strives to build a strong community through Filipino and Filipino American-themed events and programs. Ultimately, PSA is motivated to having its members become ambassadors of Filipino culture. Everyone from all cultural backgrounds is encouraged to attend our events/meeting.

Pi Delta Psi is an Asian-interest fraternity that aims to promote cultural awareness in an effort to empower the Asian American community. The Queer Asian American Coalition (QAAC)'s mission is to:
- Create community, allyship, and awareness through dialogue
- Empower the intersectionalities of Asian American and queer-identifying folx
- Educate and spread awareness to those that do not identify as Asian American and queer

Above all, our group values community and education. As stated in our mission, we strive to create an inclusive environment for people of all identities regardless of race, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, and class, among other aspects. We aim to do this by hosting events as our principal activities, in the hopes of facilitating meaningful conversation and relationships. Our events range from fun, interactive socials to more serious educational workshops to promote discussion and learning.
